Abeona The Roman Goddess

Abeona is a Roman Goddess. She watches over a child's journeys and safeguards travellers.

She is probably a classic Italian Goddess who was later on regarded as an indigimentum of Juno, the Roman Empress of Motherhood, Females, and their Children.

The word "di indigetes" typically describes deities whose characteristics were very specific, and have been occasionally thought to be facets of other Gods.

Abeona's title originates from the Latin verb abeo, "to leave, depart, or go forth".
