There was a Gold Apple with "For the Fairest" printed on the side.
Venus, Juno and Minerva all desired it. They chose to let a man, Paris, decide between them.
They were all very lovely that he could not make up his mind.
So Juno said she'd make him powerful. Minerva said she'd make him wise.
Venus offered him Helen, the prettiest woman on the planet. :)
Well of course he took Venus' offer. However when Helen was abducted this started the nasty Trojan War.
