Albunea was a Roman Nymph of Prophecy. In the neighborhood of Tibur a field was consecrated, with a well and a temple. Close to it had been the "Oracle of Faunus Fatidicus".
Lactantius says, that the 10th Sibyl, named Albunea, was worshipped at Tibur, and therefore her picture, having a book in one hand, was located in the bed of the river Anio.
Her collection, or oracles, that belonged to the libri fatales, had been, in the control of the senate, placed and held in the Capitol.
